Seagraves is a city in Gaines County, Texas, United States. It has had a population of about 2400 at the last census. The city was known as Blythe when it was founded. The railroad changed the name since there was already a city with that name in California. The median income for a family is $30.000. All the buildings still standing in the city (but one) are younger than 1928, since that, that’s when Seagraves was hit with a devastating fire and was burned down to the ground. Seagraves Motor Company was the only building that survived.
