Hull is a CDP, and also an unincorporated community located in Liberty County in Texas. The CDP was given the name for W. F. Hull who was a railroad official. As of the 2010 census, the community’s population was 669 residents. The town became a station on the Beaumont, Sour Lake and Western Railway. CDP’s post office was established in 1908. The community started growing in 1918 when oil was discovered. The town’s population was between 1,000 and 1,200 between the 1920s and the 1940s which was the population’s peak. Hull’s public education system is being provided by the Hull-Daisetta Independent School District.
