Dallas County is a county situated in Texas. It is the second-most-populous county located in the state of Texas. Dallas is the county seat which is the third-largest city in Texas. The county’s establishment happened in 1846 and was probably named for a certain George Mifflin Dallas who was the Vice President of the U.S under James K. Polk. The county is also the home of the American Airlines Center which is a basketball stadium where Dallas Mavericks play their home games. Some of the top sights located in the county are The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, and Reunion Tower.
