Dallas County is a county situated in Texas. It is the second-most-populous county located in the state of Texas. Dallas is the county seat which is the third-largest city in Texas. The county’s establishment happened in 1846 and was probably named for a certain George Mifflin Dallas who was the Vice President of the U.S under James K. Polk.
