In the past, the Gundermann Acres was a beautiful Peachland. However, in the mid-1990s, Garett Gundermann’s parents switched into growing fruits and vegetables. Today, Garrett, a 4th-generation farmer, runs the farm along with his wife, Stacie. From a 90-acre peach orchard, they now have a 500-acre farm in Wharton County. Each year, they sell different seasonal produce at the local farmer’s market. They have arugula, green beans, beets, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrot,s sweet corn, cucumbers, cauliflower, and kale. Also, they sell strawberries, melons, and citrus fruits. They mainly sell at Urban Harvest in Houston and Imperial-Sugarland in Sugarland, Texas.
